Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally

Today in my 6th grade math class we learned about the Order Of Operations.A saying to remember it, is please excuse my dear Aunt Sally. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally stands for parentheses(   ), exponents, multiplication and division (left to right) addition and subtraction (left to right). Look at the video from the link it really helped me out. School Tube Video

If there were no order of operations we would have the same problem but not the same answer. Ms. Lucas really helped me learn how to do the order of operations. Keep working on your order of operations!

Welcome!

October 2012

10/29/2012

Hello, I'm Natalie, Student Council President. My second to last week of October 2012 was pretty hectic. My third favorite moment had to be during homeroom on Monday morning when our 8th grade class bonded and talked about each others shadow day at a high school from Friday. Working haunted house was a lot of fun on Thursday and almost three fourths of the 8th grade class came to help out in some way, which shows how willing we all are to give a helping hand. Everyone had school off on Friday, but Jr. High had a Halloween dance to attend which was my favorite moment of the week because everyone seemed more outgoing and friendly.
